-At least 22 people, including yoing children, were killed while 59 were wounded when a suicide bomber hit as thousands of fans were leaving out of a concert by singer Ariana Grande in the Manchester England on Monday.
Britain Prime Minister Theresa May called an emmediate emergency meeting with intelligence chiefs. The incidenthas been labeled the deadliest militant assault in Britain since July of 2005, when four British Muslims killed 52 people in suicide bombings on London’s public transportation system.
The artist/actress Ariana Grande tweeted early Tuesday: “broken. from the bottom of my heart, i am so so sorry. i don’t have words.”
U.S. President Donald Trump had this to say about the attack “evil losers”.
German Chancellor Angela Merkel said it “will only strengthen our resolve to…work together with our British friends against those who plan and carry out such inhumane deeds.”
Manchester Arena, opened in 1995 and is one of the largest indoor event venues in the UK. Over 1 million people fill the seats of the arena yearly. It is located near the Manchester Victoria transit station.
Local families offered beds for the night to people who had been affected by the explosion, and Muslim taxi drivers provided free rides, proving all Muslims are not the same.
