Canelo vs Chavez (Pre-Fight Commentary)

Canelo Alvarez will be matched up to test his knocker against fellow Mexican Julio Cesar Chavez.  Canelo Alvarez (the Junior Middleweight World titleholder) has gone up in weight to face Chavez at catch weight in the area of 164.5 pounds. The bout takes place just a day after Cinco De Mayo which will be historic night at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

A very confident Canelo Alvarez (48-1-1, 34 KOs), has made it known that he will continue on as a full-fledged 160-pound middleweight after his face-off with Chavez. Alvarez has not had an upset in the ring since his loss to Floyd Mayweather. The match ended in a majority decision in favor of Floyd Mayweather in 2013.  Alvarez will enter the fight against Chavez as the favorite.

After a TKO loss to Andrzej Fonfara two years ago, Chavez (50-2-1, 32 KOs), has won two fights in a row thus far.
