Christopher “Big Black” Boykin has passed away on May 9th 2017 at the age of 45.

Boykin, who was 1 half of MTV’s “Rob & Big” television show, died on Tuesday. The cause of death was a heart attack as reported by a representative for Boykin.

Boykin, who at one point served in the Navy, became the body guard of skateboarder Rob Dyrdek for a promotional television skit for DC Shoes.

The duo managed to turn their partnership into “Rob & Big,” a MTV reality show that showed Boykin and Dyrdek in their daily lives complete with kooky antics.

The show first aired in 2006 and lasted 3 seasons ending in 2008, due to the birth of Boykin’s child and he was no longer the roomate of Dyrdek.

He’s survived by his 9-year-old daughter Isis.
