Warriors Setting The Record Straight …Now Looking for 3-0 Lead

Tonight, the Warriors will attempt to take a statement-making 3-0 lead in the NBA Finals. The series now shifts to Cleveland. The Golden State Warriors had a very similar situation last year. For the Golden State Warriors there was a feeling of coming into the NBA Finals with as if it were a continued series.  After a 132-113 domination by the Golden State Warriors in Game 2, that last finals losers, reloaded, recharged and with a new member, can conquer with not just an edge in talent but with a blast of motivation from its new member to revenge the defeat the finals of last year.

Kevin Durant wasn’t a California Warrior, so that’s not definitely not what’s motivating the team. For Durant, it’s about hushing those that have hounded him since he left OKC to become a Warrior last summer. He proved his worth in Game 1, as he was the main bread winner for Golden State with 38 points and zero turnovers. He was just as notibile in game 2, scoring a game-high 33 points to with 13 boards and six assists.

However, with 65 points between both Curry and Durant, as well as 22 points from Klay Thompson in Game 2, head coach Steve Kerr liked what he saw in his first game back since Game 2 of the series against Portland.
